Shifting Light: A Travelogue

What does it mean to experience a place? How does being alone, or with an old friend, or a new one, shape the experience? What resonates long after the moment is gone?

Shifting Light is a collection of writings, photos, and illustrations from a trip I took to Japan in November 2022 that explores these questions. More than just an account of where I went and when, this short book is a meditation on ways of seeing, understanding, and feeling a sense of calm in the rushing world.
